Delete your data

How to remove everything the Identified app and service hold about your device.

In the app (recommended)

Open the Identified app (by CodeFactoring B.V.) → HistoryPrivacyDelete my data. The request is signed by your device's own security key, so no account, email, or identity check is needed. This immediately deletes your device's registration and its verification records from our server, and wipes all local history, keys, and cached data from the app.

By email

If you no longer have the app or the device, email [email protected]. Include your device ID if you have it (shown under History → Privacy in the app). Without a device ID we usually cannot locate any records — our database is pseudonymous by design and contains no names, email addresses, or other identifiers to search by.

What is deleted, and what is kept

Deleted on request: your device's registration (its identifier, public key, and device-integrity properties), all verification submission records linked to it, and — locally on your phone — your verification history, encryption keys, and cached images. Verification sessions and their uploaded keys expire automatically within 24 hours regardless.

Kept: aggregate, non-identifying operational logs (request timestamps and sizes), and signed verification results previously delivered to the service you verified for — those are held by that service, remain valid for up to 12 months, and contain only a yes/no age result, never your identity or date of birth.
